Calibration Problems when using the USB-to-Serial
converter
If you have already installed a USB-to-Serial converter
and the Florida Probe freezes in the calibration routine, you
will need to download this replacement driver file: ser2pl.sys
This file must be placed into the C:\Windows\System32\Drivers
folder for Windows XP, ME or into the C:\WINNT\system32\drivers
folder for Windows NT, 2000. Windows will ask if you want to replace
an already existing file with that same name in the destination
folder. It will show that the file you are replacing is smaller
than the file downloaded here. Click 'yes' and restart your computer.
Driver Installation files for IOGear users
If you have not yet installed your IOGear USB-to-Serial adapter
model:
GUC232A, click
here to download the installation files with the correct ser2pl.sys
driver included. Be sure to specify the download location when
the Windows Installation Wizard prompts you for the location of
the driver files.

If you have not yet installed your Radio Shack USB-to-Serial
Adpapter, click

Information for other brands
If you have a USB-to-Serial converter from another manufacturer
and you continue to experience difficulties after implementing
the ser2pl.sys driver change as detailed above, please call our
